Job Description
As a Hospitality Events Manager, you will play a key role in the success of events and programs at Sonoma Raceway. We're looking for a dynamic and passionate hospitality professional who thrives on creating memorable experiences, delivering exceptional client service, and solving challenges creatively. This role will work closely with senior leadership to help develop strategies, achieve revenue goals, and ensure top-notch operational execution.
You'll primarily be responsible for overseeing event functions at the Turn 11 Hospitality Center, while also contributing strategically across various other hospitality areas of the venue. We're seeking someone who's a great communicator, highly organized, and has an eye for detail, all while maintaining the ability to manage multiple projects with ease.

Responsibilities:
Exceed Client Expectations: Deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for high-end clients, ensuring each event is seamless and memorable.
Event Design & Planning: Lead the planning and creative direction for luxury events, including designing décor and ambiance to meet our clients' high expectations.
Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with local influencers, corporate event planners, tourism groups, and other key partners to grow our event business.
Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with catering and vendor teams to ensure the successful execution of events.
Event Coordination: Manage all event logistics, including developing event proposals, managing contracts, coordinating floor plans and layouts, and overseeing vendor communications.
On-Site Leadership: Be the main point of contact for all Turn 11 events, ensuring smooth transitions, guest satisfaction, and timely communication with all teams.
Vendor & Budget Management: Oversee vendor coordination, including requests for bids, managing invoices, and ensuring events stay within budget.
Knowledge Sharing: Stay informed about venue features, activities, and local attractions to provide insightful recommendations to clients.
Team Collaboration: Work as part of a dynamic team to create a positive environment, ensuring excellent service across all departments.
Client Feedback: Implement client satisfaction measurement tools and utilize feedback to drive improvements.
Support & Onboard Staff: Manage part-time and seasonal event staff, ensuring they are trained and ready to deliver exceptional service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in luxury hospitality or event management is preferred.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to find creative solutions and act quickly when needed.
Attention to Detail: High standards in both customer service and operational execution.
Budget Management: Experience working within a detailed budget and keeping costs in line.
Availability: Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
