Who We are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in Kenya. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the pre-sales and post-sales cycles. You will work closely with the sales team to understand our customer needs, develop and present technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of Identigate’s offerings.
This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute to customer-facing pre-sales activities. |
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Presentation: Design and present compelling technical solutions that address customer business challenges and demonstrate the capabilities of Identigate’s products and services.
- Technical Expertise: Act as the technical expert during the sales process, answering customer questions, addressing concerns, and providing in-depth product demonstrations.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for solution customization.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the development of technical proposals, including solution descriptions, diagrams, and cost estimations.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyse competitor offerings and identify key differentiators for Identigate’s solutions.
- Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging and informative product demonstrations, showcasing the functionality and benefits of Identigate’s offerings.
- Technical Training: Provide technical training and support to the sales team on Identigate’s products and solutions.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations.
- Comprehensive Site Survey and Understanding client Gaps: Work closely with customers to gather detailed site details, get a full view of customer gap and scope solutions aligned to customer requirements.
- Market Awareness: Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the IT security space.
- Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from initial qualification to deal closure.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES |
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT enabled systems concepts, technologies, and solutions
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Mobile and Web Software as A Service (Saas) Solutions and cloud platforms, is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT |
- Reports to the Technical Manager.
- Works closely and collaboratively with the System Engineers, Developers, sales and account teams.

- Drive Pre-Sales Support:
- Contribute to increased win rates in deals where technical presales support is provided.
- Influence the growth of the sales pipeline through effective technical demonstrations and presentations.
- Improve demo-to-qualified-lead conversion rates.
- Demonstrate Technical Expertise:
- Deliver high-quality product demonstrations and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) that clearly articulate value.
- Maintain and expand deep product knowledge, effectively addressing complex technical inquiries.
- Ensure efficient utilization of presales capacity, optimizing time spent on impactful sales opportunities.
- Enhance Customer Engagement:
- Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings through exceptional presales interactions.
- Maintain and increase deal momentum by ensuring consistent and effective customer touchpoints.
