(More details  are about us, products and services are available on  identigate.co.ke) Who We are looking for We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in Kenya. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the pre-sales and post-sales cycles. You will work closely with the sales team to understand our customer needs, develop and present technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of Identigate's offerings.  This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to contribute to customer-facing pre-sales activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design & Presentation: Design and present compelling technical solutions that address customer business challenges and demonstrate the capabilities of Identigate's products and services.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as the technical expert during the sales process, answering customer questions, addressing concerns, and providing in-depth product demonstrations.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for solution customization.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the development of technical proposals, including solution descriptions, diagrams, and cost estimations.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyse competitor offerings and identify key differentiators for Identigate's solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging and informative product demonstrations, showcasing the functionality and benefits of Identigate's offerings.
  • Technical Training: Provide technical training and support to the sales team on Identigate's products and solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at customer organizations.
  • Comprehensive Site Survey and Understanding client Gaps: Work closely with customers to gather detailed site details, get a full view of customer gap and scope solutions aligned to customer requirements.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the IT security space.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from initial qualification to deal closure.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer or similar role.   
  • Strong understanding of IT enabled systems concepts, technologies, and solutions 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.   
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   
  • Experience with Mobile and Web Software as A Service (Saas) Solutions and cloud platforms, is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT 
  • Reports to the Technical Manager. 
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the System Engineers, Developers, sales and account teams.

  • Drive Pre-Sales Support:
    • Contribute to increased win rates in deals where technical presales support is provided.
    • Influence the growth of the sales pipeline through effective technical demonstrations and presentations.
    • Improve demo-to-qualified-lead conversion rates.
  • Demonstrate Technical Expertise:
    • Deliver high-quality product demonstrations and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) that clearly articulate value.
    • Maintain and expand deep product knowledge, effectively addressing complex technical inquiries.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of presales capacity, optimizing time spent on impactful sales opportunities.
  • Enhance Customer Engagement:
    • Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings through exceptional presales interactions.
    • Maintain and increase deal momentum by ensuring consistent and effective customer touchpoints.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our growing team in the Ugandan Market. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technical department by providing logistical support, facilitating communication, and assisting with technical tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between technical staff (engineers, technicians) and other departments (sales, customer service) to ensure clear and timely communication.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and inventory.
  • Create presentations and other materials to support technical projects and staff.
  • Provide basic technical support to clients and colleagues, or coordinate with engineers for complex issues.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for technical staff.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient technical workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Business and IT or related field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or customer service environment.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse group of people.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred skills for the Role:
  • Experience working in a technical environment (for an IT services/Solutions Organization).
  • A strong understanding of ICT Industry technical concepts
  • Project management experience.
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT 
  • Reports to the Technical Manager. 
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the Technical, project management and sales teams. 
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Accurately maintains task details and reports on the same on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains timetables and ensures all deadlines are met. Must be flexible and display initiative in working on new tasks.
  • Keeps an accurate record of projects’ status and informs supervisors of any delays or key issues.
  • Administrative tasks are accomplished carefully and thoroughly, with appropriate questions asked when necessary to ensure that the job is done correctly.
  • Meets all deadlines as indicated by the immediate supervisor
  • Maintain all our systems uptimes as per our clients contracts.
  • Deliver on all projects and assignments as per contractual obligations.
